1976 Vintage Voskhod 6N23P (E88CC) Tube - Single Wire Getter Post - Very rare

Soundlumia officially recommends 1975's Voskhod 6N23P tubes as the best-value alternative to high-end German and Dutch E88CC tubes based on extremely positive reviews from our wonderful patrons around the world who have purchased and enjoyed these tubes.

Tube Summary

From the Kaluga, Russia factory comes the "Voskhod Magic." And the 1975 version is unequivocally the international super star from the Voskhod 6N23P tubes family: stellar performance, superb sound qualities and incredibly rugged build - all come at an affordable price that one can no longer find from European E88CC tubes.

Sound Qualities

These magical tubes simply draw you into every piece of music you listen to...track after track...song and song...and you are already swept away before you know it. There's no other tube in the world that does the same magic - not the Holy Grails, nor the Pinched Waist tubes from any brand, nor the Siemens CCa's, nor the Telefunken, nor the best Mullards...none of them. Rich textured tone, deep extended bass, smooth highs, expansive midrange and the unbelievably realistic holographic sound stage...the list of the greatest traits goes on and on. These tubes are also so relaxing that it seems you can never set the volume too loud. And when it comes to low noise, let's not forget the Kaluga factory was state owned and every piece of technology that went into these tubes was approved and certified by the Soviet government.

Professional Sound Evaluation

The tube worked wonderfully and sounded terrific in our professional studio setup for monitoring.

 - Input: Cambridge Audio CXC V2 dedicated CD transport + Schiit Audio Bifrost 2 Multibit DAC
 - Amplification: Liquid Platinum Tube Amplifier by Alex Cavalli
 - Output: Focal Clear MG Pro open-back headphones

Our full tube sound review was written 100% based on the actual listening experience while this tube(paired with another matching tube) was running in the system described above.

Professional Tube Testing

The tube tested NOS (100%+ nominal mutual conductance) on a Mercury 2000 tube tester with the following result (mutual conductance in both uMhos and percentage relative to nominal for your convenience): 12,800/13,200 (102%/106%)

Good tubes start at 7000 and new tubes (incl. NOS/NIB) 12,500 - 13,000, and the Mercury 2000's rated mutual conductance (nominal) for new tubes is 12,500. Test result can also be seen in the pictures. In case you wonder what all these numbers mean to your sound experience, it's actually quite straightforward: mutual conductance directly translates to a tube's ability to amplify sound so the higher the numbers the stronger.

Before mutual conductance tests, tubes are checked for shorts, gas and microphonics as well. We do not list any tubes that failed any of these tests.

Appearance & cosmetic condition

This tube is extra rare because 100% of the paint still remains although the lettering is bit fainted with clear Voskhod Rocket logo and clear date code for year 1975.

Return Policy - Please READ carefully

First of all, returns are acceptable as long as you are reasonable. We set extremely high quality standard for the products we deliver. Tubes we sell are guaranteed to work because we run professional tests and sound evaluation before they are approved for listing AND before we ship them to customers. So the "defective item" case doesn't exist and please do not bother trying - this type of returns will NOT be accepted without proof that tubes do not work and we will open a dispute with eBay. Sound experience is a very subjective thing, and let's be real it's not that easy to run into compatibility issues between amps and tubes (so that one won't fly, either.) Please contact us to work things out before submitting return requests claiming "item is defective" or "item not as described."

Secondly, if you are a tube roller looking to game the return system, Number One STOP. We have seen it all and we know what you're up to. No tricks here please. Abusive behaviors will be reported to eBay immediately and negative feedback will be left to your account - that's guaranteed. We have already reported several abusers and eBay has ruled in our favor the dispute cases. We are more determined than ever to continue working with eBay to help rid of these unprofessional, unjustified, unkind, unfair and unacceptable abuses that are detrimental to the eBay marketplace, the vintage tubes market and the audiophile community.
