Tube Care & Handling

Vintage tubes should be handled with care. Always power equipment off and allow tubes to cool before installing or removing them. When possible, handle tubes by the base rather than pulling on the glass, and avoid bending or unnecessarily cleaning the pins.

Store unused tubes in a dry, protected location. Cosmetic variations, label wear, and other age-related characteristics are normal with authentic vintage stock and are documented in the product listing where relevant.

Soundlumia's Opinion

How many times had they done this together 60+ years before? Your logo, my tube, or vice versa. Perhaps countless times to those who witnessed the making of these incredible tubes but to most of us perhaps fewer times than we have even heard of. Yet every collaboration brought nothing less than the most breathtaking tube in the world, by all measurements, at all levels. Like we always say at Soundlumia about these super rarities, 100% authentic to its true origin and 200% prestige of German tube brand. Now how about 300%? Siemens label + Telefunken Berlin kn6 Production (Siemens Hall 6) + ◇ Bottom = MEGA RARE!

The "Crown Jewelry" ECC82 tube is here! If you've been seeking the reference vintage tube sound in the EC82/12AU7 land then look no further. Designed for high end amplifiers and preamplifiers, Telefunken ECC82 provides high level gain with ultra low noise and are unquestionably the most sought-after vintage tube and treasured by audio professionals and enthusiasts. Like any other Telefunken tubes, they are very pleasant to listen to: liquid, euphonic, with a slightly warmer midrange than many other German tubes, which makes your sound experience smooth and non-fatiguing, and all that happens on a unbelievably realistic holographic sound stage, where everything feels bigger, wider and taller. Sound texture can be felt through infinite levels of details, laying on top of each other, both in depth and in width. So your quest for superb sound clarity can end right here. Lastly, it never gets old to say that no other brand is even close to these when it comes to low noise - Telefunken tubes are "extremely" quiet just as legend has it.
